Describe your business: We teach practical strategies and philosophies to improve people’s lives through organization. We also sell products that make these ideas easy to implement. I work as a business consultant, trainer, speaker, presenter, author and editor. I am a frequent speaker at national, regional and local conventions and meetings.

Who are your customers? Entrepreneurs and small- or mid-sized business owners.

What’s the most important part of your job? We noticed two crucial factors in the high rate of business mortality: the lack of organizational knowledge and system implementation. We consult with forward-looking businesses and create strategies to help them organize and systemize for efficiency and profitability.

Any suggestions for how Nevada might improve its business climate? While many Nevadans support local businesses, we can all practice it more often. At times, national companies offer better prices. However, we pay a price in the long run if we lose local businesses. They are our neighbors, supporters of local nonprofits, service providers and consumers of other businesses.

Any business lessons you’d like to share from the recent recession? A perfect time to refine and reinvent! Make sure you are providing superb customer service and implementing best business practices. Always believe that you can and will succeed. People want to be around a positive, yet realistic, outlook. Is it challenging? Sure. But focusing on failure won’t create success.
