A new, massive health club is coming to Henderson.
Life Time Fitness is building an $8.5 million, 171,000-square-foot facility just west of Green Valley Ranch Resort, city records show.
The company plans to open the center in the fourth quarter of 2014, although the exact timing has not been decided, spokeswoman Natalie Bushaw said.
According to Bushaw, it will cost about $25 million to develop the project.
Life Time bought the 16.5-acre site from American Nevada Co. in September for $10 million.
The Greenspun family, owner of VEGAS INC and the Las Vegas Sun, also owns American Nevada.
Based in Minnesota, Life Time operates 108 fitness centers in the United States and Canada, including one in Las Vegas, on Charleston Boulevard near Red Rock Resort.
