The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance has picked new leaders for its executive committee.
Young is the first tech executive and woman to lead the committee, comprised of roughly 30 politicians, business executives, attorneys and other local bigwigs.
The group said it also elected Ray Specht, vice chairman of Toyota Financial Savings Bank, to be the committee’s vice chairman.
Additionally, it re-elected developer Kevin Orrock as secretary-treasurer. Orrock is president of the Summerlin master-planned community for Howard Hughes Corp.
Their two-year terms start Jan. 1.
