DB Brasserie makes debut at Venetian; Braddah’s Island Style branches out

Celebrated Chef Daniel Boulud has made his return to the Strip’s culinary scene.

Boulud launched DB Brasserie at the Venetian this month.

Elsewhere, a haute couture label launches its first North American retail boutique and Green Valley Ranch Resort bids farewell to two dining venues.

Meanwhile, a popular Mexican food chain adds a new location, as does a growing Hawaiian-Mexican fusion brand.

    • DB Brasserie's duo of lamb includes a Tunisian-spiced sausage and an Australian lamb chop with couscous, lemon-braised spinach and minted yogurt.

      DB Brasserie

      DB Brasserie, a restaurant combining traditional French cuisine with international flavors, opened Thursday at the Venetian.

      One of a number of restaurants by Chef Daniel Boulud, the new location seats 280 diners and offers a casual bar and lounge. The opening marks Boulud’s return to the Strip’s restaurant scene after the 2010 closure of his restaurant at Wynn Las Vegas.

      The new DB Brasserie is open from 5 to 11 p.m. every day, though the bar is open until midnight. The restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. once lunch hours take effect, likely some time in mid-May.

    • Braddah's Island Style

      Braddah's Island Style

      Braddah’s Island Style opened a new location April 15.

      The 2,200-square-foot restaurant offers burritos, tacos, rice bowls and salads made with Hawaiian favorites such as kalua pig and pulehu steak. The dining spot also will sell the Braddah’s line of hot sauces.

      The new Braddah’s Island Style is located at 6410 N. Durango Drive, Las Vegas. The business is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

    • Givenchy

      Givenchy

      High-fashion brand Givenchy opened its first North American boutique at Wynn Las Vegas this month.

      The 3,100-square-foot store sells accessories, footwear and the fashion house’s spring/summer 2014 ready-to-wear collections for men and women.

      Givenchy is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.

    • Terra Verde and Quinn’s

      Italian restaurant Terra Verde and Irish pub Quinn’s closed this month at Green Valley Ranch Resort as Station Casinos continues to modify its dining offerings.

      Replacing the two venues will be Mexican restaurant Mercadito and Tippling Hall, a beer hall serving up global comfort food. Both dining options are products of Mercadito Hospitality, a Chicago-based company.

      The Mercadito restaurant also will be part of the $35 million renovation of Red Rock Resort’s dining options.

    • Chipotle

      Chipotle Mexican Grill

      Chipotle Mexican Grill opened a new location April 10.

      The dining spot at 5715 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, is located in the McCarran Marketplace and is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
