Passenger traffic continues upward trend at Las Vegas airport

Passenger traffic continues to climb at McCarran International Airport, increasing for the eighth consecutive month.

Data released today showed about 3.6 million people traveled through McCarran in April, up slightly from the same month last year, Las Vegas airport officials said. Both domestic and international flights saw an uptick in passengers.

International passenger traffic was up 8 percent over last April, while the number of domestic passengers increased by 1.3 percent.

Total airport traffic so far this year increased to 13.7 million, up 3 percent compared to the same period last year.
