MEET: ROYAL INK DESIGN:

Design studio takes pride in giving clients personal touch

Royal Ink Graphic Design & Illustration, Monday Nov. 10, 2014.

Describe your business.

We are somewhat of an edgy boutique design studio. All of our designs are custom-made and tailored to our clients’ needs. It may sound like that should be the norm, but a lot of companies in our field tend to automate their work by using template art, stock images and the cookie-cutter look we strive to stay away from. We are a one-stop shop for our clients. We offer full-service branding, from logo design, business cards, brochures and an array of other marketing materials to web design/development and social-media marketing. We have an in-house team of designers, developers, social-media marketers and SEO professionals, so we really make the client feel as if they are dealing with a full-blown advertising firm at a more boutique level.

Who are your customers?

We deal with small-business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as big corporations and franchises. Our clients range from apparel and automobile companies to doctors and lawyers.

What makes your business unique?

From the moment you visit our website or walk into our studio, you know we are not the followers but the leaders in the field of graphic and web design. Our studio is run by professional designers, so everything we offer has a touch of creativity that is not often seen in this field. It sounds odd, but design has become an automated system for a lot of individuals. Our work and personalities make us unique.

What is your business philosophy?

All of our clients are humans. We make people feel at home when they come to us or call us. We love what we do and it shows; there is no hidden agenda. We strive to meet deadlines, we design to the best of our abilities every time and we value each and every client.

What’s the most important part of your job?

Making sure that we never jeopardize our designs, that the deadlines we set ourselves are realistic and that we meet those deadlines and make sure that no matter how much we grow, all of our clients feel as if they are our only clients.

What is the best part about doing business in Southern Nevada?

Southern Nevada is full great businesses yet still has a small-neighborhood vibe. A great business will eventually gain the notoriety it deserves. Businesses or people will somehow get to know you. We’ve had success because of the many business owners who have referred us to their peers. With smart advertising and a great work ethic, a business can thrive much quicker here that in many other places.

What have you learned from the recession?

The recession has not affected us at all. I think the reason for this is that our clients are the small-business owners and entrepreneurs who found the recession to be an instant motivator to launch their business or to grow their business and make sure they prevail. We’ve grown by working with the people who understand that marketing and advertising should be the main focus when times are tough. Recession can easily break you or it can push you to take risks that you normally would have been too comfortable to consider.
