A toy drive spearheaded by a Las Vegas company will benefit military families who are supported by the USO Las Vegas.
Yes Air Conditioning & Plumbing, a residential heating, air conditioning and plumbing company serving the Las Vegas Valley for more than 60 years, is accepting new toys for the drive until Oct. 15 at its offices at 6275 South Pioneer Way. Toys are welcome for children of all ages.
The company will donate an $500 worth of toys to USO Las Vegas at the organization’s bi-monthly deployed family dinner, held to support and honor family members of military personnel serving overseas, on Oct. 15. Yes will offer discounts on services for customers who donate toys.
“We are grateful for the sacrifices our nation’s military men and women have given to provide us with the freedoms we enjoy everyday,” said Lance Fernandez, the company's general manager.
USO Las Vegas was named the 2013 top USO center in the world based on the TellUSO survey done by 16,000 military members and families. The center hosts a deployed family dinner on the first and third Wednesday of every month for about 200 people.
