Who says summer is just for college and high school students eager to soak up some sun? Businesses can have a little fun too.
The Las Vegas Metro of Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday hosted the “Summer of Small Business” at the 2015 Business Expo, a networking event for anyone interested in swapping business cards, making connections and tasting free food, of course.
More than 150 booths for restaurants, banks and other companies set up shop at the Cashman Center.
People who missed the expo still have an opportunity to benefit from it, though. Here are a few deals that can benefit small businesses.
Dodge
In need of a new car? If you own an air conditioning business, you can get up to $1,500 off any Dodge vehicle. If you’re a member of the National Federation of Independent Business, you can get up to $500 off any car.
Urban Chamber of Commerce
Not quite sure how to connect with larger companies in the Las Vegas area? For $200, small businesses with as many as 50 employees can join this advocacy group to connect with big companies and participate in projects that fit their area of expertise. Businesses with more than 50 workers can join for $650.
Ace Fair Group
The Ace Fair Group brings local business members into the spotlight. At least twice a month, the group of LegalShield professionals organizes talks that can help businesses become well-known without sacrificing the fun.
Nevada State Bank
Through the end of the year, businesses that use Nevada State Bank will get either a 3.99 percent fixed rate for the next 48 months or a 5.5 percent fixed rate for the next 108 months. Documentation fees will be waived.
Wells Fargo
Spare a few minutes to watch a video series for the Wells Fargo Works Project and you could win $25,000. Enter the contest by June 30 and select your favorite video that features entrepreneurs telling the stories of their businesses. Twenty-five finalists will receive $1,000 each, and five grand-prize winners will win $25,000 to help their businesses grow.
