A barbecue restaurant set to open next month at the Linq will create 250 jobs, and hiring begins this week.

Virgil’s Real Barbecue will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Friday at Carmine’s in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Carmine’s is the sister restaurant to Virgil’s.

Jobs include line and prep cooks, porters, bartenders and barbacks, servers, runners, hosts and maître d’. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online to receive priority interviews at the job fair. Advance applications are not required though.

“Small businesses like ours create almost 70 percent of new jobs in this country, and we are happy to support local economic growth in this way,” said Jeffrey Bank, CEO of Alicart Restaurant Group, which operates Carmine’s and Virgil’s.

The restaurant will be the ninth location for Alicart and the third Virgil’s, joining outposts in New York and the Bahamas.
