Academy of Country Music names Red Rock Casino of the Year

Red Rock Resort has been named Casino of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.

The academy plans to honor the casino at the 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for hosting many top country artists in 2012.

Those artists included Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert, Luke Bryan, Aaron Lewis, Uncle Kracker and Jerrod Niemann.

“We’re honored and overjoyed to be presented with this prestigious award,” Station Casinos’ Vice President of Entertainment Judy Alberti said in a statement. “Station Casinos...are grateful to have once again been recognized by the Academy of Country Music.”

Station properties have won the award five times. Boulder Station won the award in 1999, 2001 and 2003, and Green Valley Ranch won in 2009.

The Academy of Country Music Awards is scheduled to air April 7 on CBS.
