New credit card lets members earn MGM rewards points

There’s a new way to earn points in MGM Resorts’ loyalty program.

The company today unveiled the M life Rewards MasterCard, which allows members to earn rewards points and tier credits for every dollar they charge to the credit card.

In addition, those who sign up for the card will be upgraded to Pearl status at MGM Resorts properties nationwide and will receive such benefits as free self-parking and buffet line passes at the company’s Las Vegas resorts.

MGM partnered with First Bankcard, a division of First National Bank of Omaha, to offer the new product.

Coinciding with today’s announcement, MGM reported that the loyalty program was being renamed M life Rewards. Lilian Tomovich, chief experience officer for MGM resorts, said in a news release that the card would allow members to “earn more rewards for everyday spend.”

“The M life Rewards MasterCard represents a new way for us to further engage with our loyal customers, and I have no doubt that our members will see the value in this product,” Tomovich said.

The card offers double points at gas stations and supermarkets, along with triple points for purchase at M life Rewards destinations. Customers who charge $1,000 in the first three billing cycles will receive a bonus of 10,000 points.

Signup is available at mlife.com or at M life Rewards desks.
