Several local law firms and their lawyers have been recognized in the publication “2012 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.” National and local rankings were compiled based on interviews with attorneys and clients and were based on factors such as technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness and astuteness, diligence and commitment. Those recognized were:

      Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, for Nevada corporate/commercial, gaming and licensing, general commercial litigation and real estate. Individual awards went to Frank A. Schreck, private equity licensing; Ellen L. Schulhofer, corporate/commercial; David R. Arrajj, gaming and licensing; Andrew S. Brignone, employment-ERISA; and Kirk B. Lenhard, general commercial litigation. Angela Turriciano Otto was named an “Up and Coming Real Estate Lawyer of the Year.” Leslie Terry Jones, a real estate attorney, was recognized as a senior statesman.

      Holland & Hart LLP, for Nevada corporate/commercial, general commercial litigation and real estate. Individual awards went to J. Stephen Peek, general commercial litigation; and Scott Scherer, gaming and licensing. A total of 78 of the firm’s attorneys nationally were recognized.

    • Fisher & Phillips LLP, which exclusively represents employers in labor matters. Individual awards went to Mark J. Ricciardi and Scott M. Mahoney. In total, 45 attorneys nationwide were selected.

    • Lewis and Roca, for gaming and licensing and general commercial litigation. Individual awards went to Anthony Cabot, Michael Alonso, Paul Bible, Gregory Giordano and Sean McGuiness, all gaming and licensing; and Von Heinz and Thomas Ryan, general commercial litigation.

    • Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., a labor and employment law firm. Tony Martin was recognized, along with 73 other attorneys nationally.

    • Snell & Wilmer. Individual awards went to Patricia Curtis, real estate; Leon Mead, construction litigation; and Stephen Yoken, real estate.

    • McDonald Carano Wilson LLP, for work in the environment, gaming and licensing, real estate and general commercial litigation. Individual recognition went to John Frankovich, Andy Gabriel, Andy Gordon, Sylvia Harrison, A.J. (Bud) Hicks and Pat Lundvall.

      Lionel Sawyer & Collins was ranked in the top tier in Nevada for corporate/commercial law, general commercial litigation, gaming and licensing and real estate. It also was recognized for environmental and labor and employment work. Individual recognition went to Jeff Zucker, real estate and corporate/commercial; Craig Etem, corporate/commercial; Paul Hejmanowski, general commercial litigation; Todd Touton and John Naylor, construction litigation; Bob Faiss, Dan Reaser, Mark Clayton and Ellen Whittemore, gaming and licensing; Mark Goldstein and Matt Watson, real estate; Paul Larsen, land use and zoning; Linda Bullen, environmental; and Greg Smith and Laura Thalacker, labor and employment.
