    • Nevada State Development Corp. partnered with Valley Bank of Nevada to fund Classic and Collectible Cars with an SBA 504 loan that allowed the owners to build a vehicle facility and parking lot. It is located at 3701 Sirius Ave., Las Vegas, the site of a former burned-out bakery.

    • McDonald Carano Wilson LLP received the Cornerstone Award for Outstanding Corporation from the Sierra Chapter of the Association of Professional Fundraisers at its 2013 The award highlights individuals and organizations committed to charitable causes worldwide.

    • The Glenn Group, a marketing agency, was recognized as one of the Bark’s “Best Places to Work 2013-2014.” It is listed among 130 of the most dog-friendly workplaces in America.

    • South Point Arena and Equestrian Center reached a multiyear partnership with Priefert Manufacturing to build the Priefert Pavilion, two new venues that will add more than 100,000 square feet to the center.

    • Caesars Entertainment Corp. and MGM Resorts International earned perfect ratings from the Human Rights Campaign’s annual Corporate Equality Index. The index scores businesses on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace policies. This is the seventh consecutive year Caesars has received a perfect score and MGM’s second straight year.

    • Aristocrat Technologies, a gaming technology supplier, partnered with Wave Crest Group to launch an open-loop casino card. The project improves the user experience for patrons and provides casino operators new payment and loyalty program options.

    • SGE International acquired office space in the Summerlin area. The firm also added nine positions, including content writers, a graphic designer, a web visionary and several support staff members. The company handles corporate culture design, company openings, brand repositioning, eLearning modules and website development.

    • Prism Global Management Group marked 10 years in business. It is an international management consulting firm specializing in strategic human resource management services.

    • Galaxy Theatres completed the final phase of upgrades to its theater at the Cannery. The newly named Galaxy Cannery Luxury+ Theatre includes Luxury+ seating, a Digital Fusion Experience auditorium and Dolby Atmos sound, as well as gourmet sausage, beer and wine selections.

    • One7 Communications was selected the marketing, advertising and public relations agency of record by Double Helix Wine and Restaurant Group. Double Helix has locations in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian and Palazzo and in Town Square Las Vegas.

    • Vegas PBS renamed its online workforce training program to Global Online Advanced Learning, replacing Vegas Virtual Online Education. GOAL plans to open a community computer lab at the Vegas PBS Educational Technology Campus.

    • CenturyLink now offers Internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second to customers in northwest Las Vegas as part of its enhanced fiber network expansion. Las Vegas is one of a few U.S. cities with access to Internet speeds 100 times faster than broadband. The service will be available to additional communities and small businesses this year.

    • Huntington Capital, a San Diego mezzanine and private equity fund, established offices in Las Vegas and Reno. An operational executive and associate have been assigned to the offices.

    • Four local hospitals — Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Progressive Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center — received the 2013 Nevada Hospital Engagement Network Bright Spot: Reducing Harm Across the Board Award. Honorees demonstrated high-quality patient care and excellence in patient safety indicators.

    • Golden Gaming will acquire the Northern Nevada slot route operations of Strategic Gaming Management and its 870 slot machines, giving its subsidiary, Golden Route Operations about 8,000 gaming devices in 700 locations.
