Frito-Lay North America’s Las Vegas sales team won the 2013 Dale Stortz Award for being the “Zone of the Year.” The award is given annually to the team that demonstrates exceptional performance in sales, profitability, safety and employee retention. The 165-member Las Vegas team represents Las Vegas, Death Valley, Mesquite and Pahrump.

T.J.Maxx is relocating from North Rancho Drive to the Best of the West Shopping Center.

Cariloha, Paper Source, Pot Liquor CAS (Contemporary American Smokehouse) and Gameworks are slated to open this year at Town Square. Cariloha is scheduled to open this month and will sell products made from bamboo. Paper Source is scheduled to open in July and will sell a selection of artisanal papers, invitations, greeting cards and more. Pot Liquor CAS is a southern-style barbecue restaurant set to open in late August. Gameworks is expected to have a 7,000-square-foot arcade, an eight-lane bowling alley and space for multiplayer online computer gaming.

Mr. Chow will open its seventh restaurant early next year at Caesars Palace. It will be located in the second-story space occupied by Empress Court, which will close this spring.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop will open a location at Eastern and Serene avenues, the company’s 24th restaurant in the valley.

Cadillac Mexican Cantina and Tequila Bar opened at the Golden Nugget.

The Harmon Business Center, a new and remodeled executive office building, opened at 4525 S. Sandhill Road, Las Vegas. Peak Performance Group, a real estate firm, moved to the center.

American Gaming Systems, a designer and manufacturer of gaming machines for the Native American market, acquired Colossal Gaming.

Mills & Mills Law Group launched an online family law resource, NevadaPowerLaw.com.

Unwind Knitting, a luxury yarn shop, opened at 10545 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 100, Henderson.

Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt opened at 6135 S. Fort Apache Road, Suite 400, Las Vegas.

JCM Global won the contract for bill validators and cash box systems at the Cromwell.

Dapper Factory, a garment manufacturing company, opened at 2325 Western Ave., Las Vegas.

Smart City Networks was awarded a two-year contract with the Tampa Convention Center in Florida to provide telecommunications and Internet services for the venue’s events and trade shows.

PODS of Las Vegas, a moving and storage company, celebrated its 10th anniversary with an event that supported local charity, Spread the Word Nevada.
