After 11 months of construction and renovations, Shenker Academy and Temple Sinai have completed a new entrance, improved security system, updated playground, new executive offices, remodeled event center, learning center, sanctuary and chapel. The Shenker Academy, on the Temple Sinai campus at 9001 Hillpointe Road, accommodates half-day and full-day preschool and kindergarten programs for children ages 1 to 5.

VaOpto, an LED manufacturer and wholesaler in Las Vegas, is an example of a Chinese manufacturing company that has expanded operations to Nevada. The company has about 3,000 employees and grosses $200 million annually.
Nicholas and Company opened a food service distribution center in North Las Vegas off Interstate 15 at 5670 Linn Lane. The 183,000-square-foot warehouse can hold up to 600,000 cases of food-service products for distribution to restaurants, hospitals, schools and other commercial customers.
