The Public Education Foundation’s board of directors has named Robert L. Forbuss its honorary chairman, citing his longstanding commitment to the organization and the community. Forbuss served as the Foundation’s senior vice chair for nine years and has been a member of the foundation’s board since 1997. He is a Clark County School Board trustee and past chairman of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees.

Robert Caldwell, a shareholder at the law firm of Kolesar & Leatham, was an invited speaker on international litigation as part of a conference sponsored by the American Bar Association and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The conference, Doing Business in the United States, was held in mid-April in Beijing. Caldwell was the only Nevada attorney to participate.

Pam Beal, executive director of the Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition, has been recognized as a Childhood Immunization Champion for 2012 by the Centers for Disease Control and the CDC Foundation. She is one of 39 recipients across the country. She received the award for her contributions toward improving public health and for leading and managing community health projects for the uninsured and under-insured.
