      Mark Stark, CEO of Americana Holdings, is Prudential Real Estate’s 2013 broker of the year. Stark operates the Prudential Americana Group in Nevada and Prudential Arizona Properties. In addition, three local Prudential teams were recognized for being among the top 10 real estate groups in the country. They are: the McGarey Group (commercial sales), the Napoli Group (residential units sold) and the Shapiro and Sher Group (residential volume). Also, Ernesto Ibarra was named employee of the year, and the Craig Tann Group was recognized as the top contributor to the nonprofit Sunshine Kids Foundation.

      Terrence Thornton was promoted to director of investor services and development at the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, formerly the Nevada Development Authority. Thornton is a UNLV graduate and earned his master’s degree in 2011 from Walden University. Michael Vannozzi is manager of strategic initiatives at the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. He previously worked as a special projects manager for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Vannozzi specializes in immigration and K-12 education issues.

      MassMedia Corporate Communications, a public relations, advertising and marketing firm, made several staff changes. Scott Kerbs and Matt Seltzer were promoted to account executives. Dee Anna David is an account supervisor. Carlton Sanders is a social media specialist, and Hannahmae Dela Cruz is an intern. Kerbs and Seltzer execute strategic marketing campaigns, coordinate media outreach, buy and place advertising and grow clients’ social media reach. David oversees regional clients in California, Florida and New Mexico. Sanders handles social campaigns and networks.

      Jessey Riley

      Jessey Riley is a television assistant at Vegas PBS. He joins the production team as a videographer and editor. Riley previously worked as the production manager for Southern Oregon Public Television. He has more than 12 years of experience in broadcast journalism.

    • Christopher M. Humes joined the litigation department of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as an associate. Humes will focus on employee benefits. He previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Fifth Judicial District Court in Nye County. Humes earned a law degree from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, a master’s degree from Portland State University and a bachelor’s degree from Western Oregon University.

    • Business consultant Rose McKinney-James, owner of Energy Works Consulting and McKinney-James and Associates, was named to the board of directors for the Alliance to Save Energy, a coalition of business, government, environmental and consumer leaders who promote the efficient use of clean energy.

      Xpert Exposition Services, a national exposition company that specializes in tradeshows, corporate events and exhibits, hired Al Molina as exhibit sales manager and Tina Lepere-Andrews as an account executive. Molina has more than 30 years of experience in event services, while Lepere-Andrews has 12 years of industry experience.

      Joe Vassallo

      Joseph M. Vassallo, president of Paragon Pools, was selected as a featured designer for HGTV.com’s “Designer’s Portfolio.” Vassallo has more than 25 years of experience in new construction and renovations. His clients include casino executives, celebrities, luxury home builders, sports clubs and hotels.

    • Randolph Wilcott is director of sales and marketing at Mandarin Oriental. He previously held the same position at Mandarin’s Elbow Beach Bermuda.

    • Michelle Alarie

      Michelle Alarie

      Michelle Alarie is an associate in the litigation practice group at Armstrong Teasdale. Alarie provides counsel in complex commercial matters and focuses on banking, bad faith insurance and coverage litigation, bankruptcy and criminal law. She earned her Juris Doctorate from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law and her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
