Susan Borst is a vice president of Colliers International — Las Vegas industrial division and a partner within the firm’s Doherty Industrial Group. Borst began her work in commercial real estate more than 20 years ago with Harsch Investment. She also was director of industrial leasing and sales for Cushman and Wakefield | Commerce.

Lionel Sawyer Collins shareholder Doreen Spears Hartwell was selected to serve on the Nevada Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission. Co-chaired by Justices James Hardesty and Michael Douglas, the commission’s goal is to improve the delivery and funding of legal service programs, pro bono services and self-help services in the state.

Heidi Zupancic is client service manager at McCarthy Building Companies. She has nearly three decades of construction, development and corporate customer service experience. She previously owned Get In My Circle — Lifestyle Management, where she provided corporate and business concierge services.

Matthew Burns is vice president and part owner of EV&A Architects. He has more than 12 years of experience in commercial and industrial projects.

Ruben Fontes is president of Blue Earth Solar, a division of alternative/renewable energy and energy efficiency services company Blue Earth. Fontes has more than 20 years of management experience, most recently as senior operations director at Chevron Energy Solutions.

Richard Galin, of counsel at Gordon Silver, was elected director of the Japan America Society of Nevada. Before joining the firm, he practiced law for six years in Tokyo as a specially licensed foreign attorney.

Doug Ward, chef concierge at Mandalay Bay and an art of concierge instructor at the International School of Hospitality, is president of the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association.

Joseph Laiacona is vice president and manager of City National Bank’s Tropicana branch. Laiacona has 25 years of experience in the banking industry and previously served as senior vice president and senior branch service manager for Nevada State Bank’s Sahara banking center.

Pamela Lang is director of development at Spread the Word Nevada. She has spent the past 15 years in marketing, event planning and fundraising, most recently as vice president of development at Easter Seals Nevada.

Dr. Mohab Ibrahim was board certified in pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Ibrahim, who is also a board certified anesthesiologist, operates Pain Center of Nevada.

Jenai Gaccione joined the board of directors of LTO Ventures, a nonprofit company that develops live/work/play residential communities for adults with autism spectrum disorder. She is a social worker with more than 10 years of experience working with families and managing housing programs.

Josh Pasene is a mortgage loan officer at Clark County Credit Union. He has been with the credit union since 2012 and has 14 years of experience in the banking/credit union industry.

Amy Abdo and Chris Byrd are members of Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas’ management committee. The committee includes five attorneys responsible for setting the firm’s direction and maintaining its high-quality legal services. Abdo joined the firm in 1997 and practices in Arizona, Nevada and California in business litigation and employment law. Byrd started with the firm in 2005 and represents a variety of businesses and owners in commercial and real estate transactions, litigation, mediation and arbitration matters.

MountainView Hospital CEO Chris Mowan joined the advisory board of directors at Goodwill of Southern Nevada.

Ryder previously was director of field marketing and liaison to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Walsh previously was with a high-rise real estate firm.

Maj. Kelly Pontsler is Clark County coordinator for the Salvation Army. Pontsler has 28 years of service in Africa, Europe and in the United States Western Territory. She most recently was Marion-Polk counties coordinator and Kroc Center administrator for the organization in Salem, Ore.

Cortney Warren, a licensed clinical psychologist and associate professor of psychology at UNLV, joined the board of Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada.

Ryan Loosvelt was named one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 in Nevada for 2014 by the American Society of Legal Advocates. Loosvelt is a partner with Duane Morris.

Stephanie Cooper Herdman is an associate attorney at Aldrich Law Firm. She has more than 18 years of experience practicing law, with experience in civil litigation, domestic law and contract law.

Chef Daniel Boulud is set to open French restaurant DB Brasserie in May at the Venetian.

Edward Cecchi and Gene Galloway joined the board of directors at Communities in Schools of Nevada. Cecchi has spent the past five years working as a community advocate in Las Vegas, while Galloway is president and CEO of the Las Vegas branch of Plaza Bank.

Pat Mulroy, retired general manager of the Southern Nevada Water Authority, was elected to the board of Keep Memory Alive, the organization that raises funds and awareness in support of Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.

Penta Building Group was selected by the Osage Nation as construction manager for phase one development of the Osage Nation campus in Pawhuska, Okla. The project includes demolishing existing structures and constructing two office buildings, new site utilities, parking and infrastructure. The new buildings will include a two-story, 27,000-square-foot welcome center.
