Jason Barron joined Cogburn Law Offices and will work in the firm’s employment law division. He has more than a decade of experience in litigation. A Nevada native, Barron attended law school at the University of Notre Dame.

Jen Wenk joined Matador Entertainment, which handles public relations for the UFC and other fight organizations.

Donnell Bayot, director of academic affairs at the International School of Hospitality, was named one of the top 25 young special events professionals to watch in 2014 by Special Events magazine. Bayot serves as second vice president of the National Association of Catering and Events and is pursuing a doctorate at UNLV.

Cecilia Darr and Timothy Thompson were elected to the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association board as president and secretary. Darr is concierge supervisor and Thompson is concierge manager at the Venetian and Palazzo.

Timothy Henderson is the executive chef of Tableau at Wynn. He is a Nevada native and attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Henderson has worked for chefs Michael Mina, Andrew Budnyj, Larry Forgione, Mark LoRusso and Stephen Hopcraft.

Veronica Kawka and Allie Mandel are assistant account executives and Matt Griebel is an account and social media assistant at Forté PR. Kawka works with local health and fitness accounts. Mandel works with national fitness and nutrition accounts. Griebel coordinates blog outreach and social media for clients.

Heidi Newhouse is regional real estate manager for the Las Vegas office of Sunrise Management, a San Diego-based residential real estate management firm. Newhouse previously was a regional manager for Stout Management, overseeing 13 properties and nearly 2,000 units.

The Las Vegas City Council approved the city manager’s selection of David Bowers as public works director. Bowers has a 27-year career as a civil engineer in structural and roadway design, construction management, contracting and team management. He has worked for the city since 2005 and will oversee the engineering, traffic and environmental divisions.

Andrew Youkana is a member services representative at the Clark County Credit Union.

Elizabeth Moore is a senior associate at Voit Real Estate Services. She previously worked for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where she sold and leased office and industrial properties and represented tenants and landlords.

Nikki Waller is a sales officer for City National Bank’s Treasury Management group in Nevada. Waller has almost 30 years of experience in the banking industry and was previously client services manager for the bank’s Twain branch.

Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, will serve on the Destination Marketing Association International 2014-2015 board of directors.

Alyson Bettelman is director and Irene Skarlatos is senior analyst at Applied Analysis, an advisory services firm. Bettelman will oversee the firm’s litigation support and expert analysis practice. Skarlatos has played a key role in the expansion of the firm’s MyResearcher.com web-based data tracking tool and its primary research division.

Dennae Peoples is a member services representative at the Clark County Credit Union. She has seven years of finance experience.

Marie Ramsey is chief financial officer, Jeffrey Rabinowitz is casino financial analyst, Ken Mumby is director of table games and Anthony Bender is director of casino marketing at the Downtown Grand. Ramsey previously was chief financial officer at the Tropicana. Rabinowitz was with the Maryland Live Casino. Mumby was vice president of casino operations for Planet Hollywood. Bender has held management roles at Riviera, Play LV Gaming and American Casino and Entertainment.

Michelle D. Alarie, a litigator at Armstrong Teasdale, joined the board of directors of the William S. Boyd School of Law Society of Advocates. She will be responsible for alumni outreach and organizing competitions hosted by the law school. In her law practice, Alarie provides counsel in commercial matters and focuses on banking and insurance litigation, bankruptcy and criminal law.

Michael Demoratz, director of special projects at Amada Senior Care, was elected to the Commission for Case Manager Certification. Demoratz has more than 30 years of experience and is a licensed clinical social worker and certified case manager.

Adriana Quince is vice president and store manager of Macy’s Downtown Summerlin store, which is expected to open Oct. 8. Quince, a Las Vegas native with 13 years of retail experience, will manage the two-story, 180,000-square-foot store and its approximately 200 employees.

Mark Clayton is leaving Lionel Sawyer & Collins to join Greenberg Traurig. Clayton joined the Lionel Sawyer gaming law practice in 2009 after completing a term on the Nevada State Gaming Control Board.

Thuc Timothy Le joined Roseman University of Health Sciences as an assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences and a researcher. Le previously worked at Desert Research Institute and the Nevada Cancer Institute.

America First Credit Union opened its 12th location, at 6090 S. Durango Drive, Las Vegas. Matthew Dice will serve as branch manager.

Rosine Zelicskovics is director of development and major gifts for the ACLU of Nevada. She will oversee and coordinate donor development and major gifts strategy. Zelicskovics previously worked for MGM Resorts International and Wynn Las Vegas in various marketing capacities.
