John Travassos was promoted to vice president of operations at Burke Construction Group. He previously was director of operations for Burke’s West/Southwest and Upper Midwest Divisions. Travassos, who has more than three decades of experience, joined Burke in 2006.

Attorney Jeffrey Silver was elected vice chairman of the board of directors for the Mob Museum. He previously served as a member of the museum’s board and as treasurer.

Celebrity Chef Kerry Simon opened Carson Kitchen downtown inside the old John. E Carson Hotel at 124 S. Sixth St., Las Vegas.

Fabian Vincent is vice president and business banking relationship manager at City National Bank. Vincent has 30 years of experience in the financial services and investment banking industries. He previously worked as a business consultant at FMV Enterprises.

Chris Roman joined the board of directors of the Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities. He is president and CEO of MundoFox affiliates KMCC-DT Las Vegas and KYVV-DT San Antonio.

Brian Clagett is southeast/Henderson community bank district manager at Wells Fargo. He joined the bank as a teller in 2000.

Sophia Peressini is an engineer at Walker Engineering. She has eight years of engineering design experience doing roadway design, drainage studies and improvement plans in Nevada and California.

Rod Davis, senior vice president of operations at Dignity Health Nevada and former president and CEO of 23 years for St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus, will be honored at the sixth annual Volunteers in Medicine Ball on Nov. 8.

Ronald Heezen is executive director of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. He replaces Jeanne Goodrich, who is retiring. Heezen previously was executive director of Shreve Memorial Library System in Shreveport, La., and director of the Green Gold Library System in Louisiana.

John Lopez is manager of government affairs at Cox Communications, Las Vegas. He previously served as a senior staff member from 1995-2009 to former Congressman and U.S. Sen. John Ensign and as government affairs manager for Las Vegas.

Dr. Chi Pang Wu joined Aliante Integrated Physical Medicine. He is a chiropractic physician and has practiced in Las Vegas for 22 years.
