Spirit to offer nonstop daily service from McCarran to Kansas City

Low-fare carrier Spirit Airlines today announced it would offer daily nonstop flights between Las Vegas and Kansas City beginning in August.

Spirit, based in Miramar, Fla., said Kansas City was the 56th city added to its network with round-trip service from Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Detroit.

The Las Vegas-to-Kansas City flights will begin Aug. 7.

Flights from Las Vegas to Kansas City International will leave daily at 1 a.m. with scheduled arrival of 5:45 a.m. in Kansas City. Return flights will leave Kansas City at 9 p.m. and arrive at 10:55 p.m. in Las Vegas.

Spirit already offers nonstop service to 13 destinations from Las Vegas: Baltimore/Washington; Chicago-O'Hare; Dallas/Fort Worth; Denver; Detroit; Fort Lauderdale; Houston-Bush Intercontinental; Los Angeles; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Oakland/San Francisco Bay; Philadelphia; Portland, Ore.; and San Diego.
