Nevada small businesses offered webinars on tax credits, environmental standards and energy efficiency

Clean Energy Project, a Nevada-based nonprofit organization promoting the clean energy economy, and Small Business Majority, a national nonprofit group providing practical solutions to some of the biggest problems facing small businesses today, are offering several web-based seminars to Nevada small businesses in the coming weeks.
The webinars include a discussion featuring White House Council on Environmental Quality Chief of Staff Mike Boots on how pending environmental standards will affect small businesses on Sept. 17 at 10 a.m., “10 Fast and Easy Ways to Lower Your Small Business Utility Bill” on Sept. 19 at 10 a.m., and “Tax Credits to Help Make Your NV Small Business Energy Efficient” on Oct. 31 at noon.
“These sessions will provide Nevada’s small businesses with some practical guidance on changing environmental standards and tips on saving money,” said Tim Gaudette, Western Outreach Manager for Small Business Majority. “Small businesses provide the foundation for a healthy economy, so it is important to give small business owners as much support as possible.”
Small Business Majority is a national nonpartisan small business advocacy organization founded and run by small business owners and focused on solving the biggest problems facing small businesses today. Small Business Majority speaks for the nearly 28 million Americans who are self-employed or own businesses of up to 100 employees. The organization sponsors scientific research that helps the organization understand and advocate on behalf of the interests of small businesses across the country.
“Clean Energy Project works with small business owners around the state that need to stay informed of practical ways to save energy and money,” said Lydia Ball, CEP executive director. “These webinars will give owners a solid background on opportunities to reduce their energy overhead.”
