Tyson & Mendes Expands to Nevada and Opens Las Vegas Office

The law firm Tyson & Mendes LLP is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office in Las Vegas. Experienced trial attorney, Tom McGrath, joins the firm as a partner, and will lead the Las Vegas office. The firm’s Nevada extension will continue to serve businesses and insurance companies with unparalleled service and unbeatable results in all areas of ligation from catastrophic injury jury trials and construction law to employment matters and large exposure litigation.
The Las Vegas office will service all of Nevada. Tyson & Mendes also has offices in California, Arizona, and Colorado.
With more than 20 years of experience, McGrath has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict on behalf of businesses and insurance companies in both Nevada and California. Representing insurance companies and their clients, McGrath has litigated numerous first-party bad faith claims and third-party bodily injury lawsuits. He also has extensive experience defending construction and real estate matters including construction defect, wrongful closures, delay impact, and homeowners’ association disputes.

McGrath earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1992. For the next seven years, he practiced law in the Bay Area before becoming licensed in Nevada in 1999 and moving to Las Vegas in 2002. Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, McGrath worked for Messner Reeves LLP and served as managing attorney for American Family Insurance’s Las Vegas-based, in-house legal department.
