LAS VEGAS (May 5, 2016) –Lee Canyon will open for the summer season on Friday, May 27, 2016. Summer hours are Friday through Sunday (including holidays) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can participate in activities like scenic chairlift rides, disc golf, and hiking. The Bristlecone Bar & Grill will be serving food and beverages. The resort is also taking reservations for weddings, corporate picnics, reunions and other summer group events.

The Sherwood lift gives chairlift riders a panoramic view of Lee Canyon. Scenic lift ride tickets can be purchased at Lee Canyon Sports at $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 years old and under. Winter season pass holders can take advantage of their complimentary scenic chairlift ride once per day.

Lee Canyon’s disc golf course was named no. 1 disc golf course in Las Vegas. Players can choose to hike or ride the chairlift to the top of the course, then hike through the resort’s mountain terrain to each hole. Lee Canyon Sports offers disc golf packages at $19 for adults, $14 for children 12 years old and under. Disc golf season passes can be purchased at $50 per pass and are non-transferable. Visitors have the option of renting a driver and putter or they can play the course for free with their own disc golf equipment. Rental packages include one driver, one putter, a course map and a chair lift ticket.

“Our winter season was really strong with over 100 inches of snow. We saw a big increase in first timers to Lee Canyon this winter and we expect the same this summer,” said Jim Seely, Lee Canyon Marketing Director. “With the increase in popularity of disc golf, high altitude training and the cooler temperatures, Lee Canyon will be the hottest spot to cool down this summer.”
With temperatures roughly 20 degrees cooler than in the valley, Lee Canyon is a favorite summer spot to recreate with patio fun like cornhole and even a mini skate ramp. It is also a desired training spot for local and visiting fitness enthusiasts using one or more of Lee Canyon’s hiking trails or nearby mountain biking trails.

The resort will close for summer activities on September 5, 2016, Labor Day, weather permitting. For more information on Lee Canyon, please visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
