Reflection Bay at Lake Las Vegas to reopen in October 2014

Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course to be enhanced and improved

LAKE LAS VEGAS — Reflection Bay Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas will reopen in October 2014, after a complete restoration guided by original course designer Jack Nicklaus. A Top 100 course, according to both Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine, Reflection Bay stood for more than a decade as a premier golf destination for resort golfers and tour champions alike.

Opened for play in 1998, the first public Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Nevada is poised to rise again as a true oasis in the heart of the Las Vegas desert. Majestic red rock mountain vistas surround the course, while each hole offers stunning views of a 320-acre lake, the focal point of Lake Las Vegas.

"The revitalization of Reflection Bay is a significant step in the recovery of Lake Las Vegas as the luxury new home and resort destination in Henderson," said Patrick Parker, division president for Raintree Investment Corp., exclusive agent for Paulson & Co. "This fall, we are celebrating the restoration of Reflection Bay and the opening of the new road to Lake Las Vegas, Galleria Parkway.”

Reflection Bay was designed by Jack Nicklaus, whose global design résumé and accolades mirror his unparalleled legacy that includes a record 18 professional major championship victories. It was home to the Wendy's 3Tour Challenge from 1998 to 2007. Each of Reflection Bay's imaginative holes was crafted to be distinctive and memorable, including five holes stretching along a mile and a half of shoreline and the 200-yard, par-3 eighth hole, which showcases a peninsula jutting out into Lake Las Vegas.

"This course was arguably the most beautiful in Vegas and will be again," said Jeff Levine, senior vice president of Century Golf Partners. "The course is already green, a welcome sight to residents. We're on track to start booking tee times for as early as October 2014."

Located just 20 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip, Reflection Bay Golf Club is returning as a luxurious escape. The lavish 32,000-square-foot clubhouse will feature a full golf shop, as well as casual and fine dining. The club will also offer relaxation on a private white-sand beach, paddle boarding, and access to the La Contessa yacht. Concerts will be held on select nights, turning Reflection Bay into a beachside venue like no other. The renovated facilities will be ideal for events, tournaments, and weddings.

Reflection Bay is now under the ownership of Paulson & Co., which purchased the course—and nearly 1,000 additional acres of Lake Las Vegas land. The company's first order of business was rejuvenating Reflection Bay, the 7,184-yard, par-72 course. Century Golf Partners has taken the lead in the restoration, with guidance from the Golden Bear and the Nicklaus Design team.

"We expect new and returning golfers will once again fall in love with playing Reflection Bay," said Patrick Parker.
