Penn National Gaming Inc. said in a federal filing Friday it intends to submit a bid for a casino in Prince George’s County.
The move would set up an expected battle between Wyomissing, Pa.-based Penn National (NASDAQ: PENN) and MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM). The Las Vegas gaming giant, too, is expected to bid on the sole Prince George’s County license.
