Cleaning shark tanks, delivering drinks: Models compete to become face of Mandalay Bay

Cleaning a shark tank. Picking through the garbage for recyclables. Flying through the air on a pulley system to deliver wine.

Doesn’t sound like your average job interview, right?

But that’s exactly what’s in store for eight models who will compete to become the new face of Mandalay Bay on a new VH1 reality show, “Model Employee.”

Hosted by supermodel Chrissy Teigen, the show drops the models in the trenches. They work alongside longtime Mandalay Bay employees and learn the casino-resort business from top to bottom.

The models arrived to Las Vegas expecting to partake in a photo shoot. Instead, they arrived at Mandalay Bay to a banquet hall full of dirty tables.

Their first task: clean the cavernous hall in less than 20 minutes.

The show premiers at 10:30 p.m. May 8 on VH1.
