Openings & Closings: Bobby Flay debuts burger spot, steakhouse expands presence

Chef Bobby Flay’s Bobby’s Burger Palace opens Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, on the Strip in Las Vegas.

Iron Chef Bobby Flay enters a new kitchen stadium as he joins the Las Vegas burger battle. Flay’s casual restaurant, Bobby’s Burger Palace, opens just weeks after Mario Batali's B & B Burger and Beer debuted in the Venetian.

Meanwhile, the home of the $5 burger is getting an upgrade and an upscale steakhouse is expanding its Las Vegas presence.

A bargain shopper’s go-to outlet is adding a new location, and a neighborhood grocery store is saying goodbye.
