Beer garden debuts on Strip; fitness center opens in southwest valley

Raise your glass, beer fanatics! The Las Vegas Strip has welcomed a two-level bar that has a collection of 100 beers, with 36 of them available on tap.

Ladies, not a fan of beer? With the opening of a brand-new location of a popular lingerie chain, the chance to purchase make-up and irresistible garments is just a few miles away from the park.

Sports fans also have something to cheer about. A newly renovated sports book has opened in Southern Nevada. And those of you determined to follow through with your New Year’s resolutions can stick to your goals by giving a new fitness studio in town a visit.

In the meantime, a popular tapas restaurant has closed, while a well-known mini golf will be relocated to the Rio.

    • Beer Park

      The Paris has welcomed Beer Park, a 10,000-square-foot bar with a second level.

      The Budweiser Clydesdales paraded down the Las Vegas Strip on Tuesday to the grand opening of the venue.

      The bar features a collection of 100 beers, as well as beer cocktails and cocktails on draft. Customers can also share in the delight of tasty foods like burgers and brisket.

      The park will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays., and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m, Friday and Saturday.

    • Victoria's Secret at the Miracle Mile Shops on the Las Vegas Strip.

      Victoria’s Secret

      The Miracle Mile Shops is now home to the largest Victoria’s Secret store in Las Vegas.

      The retail space opened on Jan. 29, offering over 20,000 square feet of space dazzling with beauty products, lingerie and PINK items.

      The mall is located inside Planet Hollywood and is open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday.

    • Westgate Superbook

      The renovation of the Race and Sports Superbook at the Westgate is now complete.

      The venue, now covering over 20,000 square feet, features the world’s largest indoor LED wall, over 400 seats, a new, fully stocked bar, among other high-end attractions to give sports fans the ultimate experience.

      The Westgate is located at 3000 Paradise Road.

    • My House Fitness

      Nevada will welcome the first location of My House Fitness on Monday.

      The studio will be located at 9460 W. Flamingo Road. It will feature one-on-one fitness programs, group training sessions, nutritional counseling, weight loss programs, along with a variety of other classes to help you stick to your health goals.

      “What makes us different from the larger fitness centers is the personalized attention and dedication we give all our clients,” said Mike Colagioia, franchisee, in a statement.

      The Orlando-based fitness center also has locations in Indiana, Colorado, Texas and Minnesota.

    • Salt & Pepper

      Tivoli Village has shuttered Salt & Pepper, the Southern-themed bar and grilled owned by Chef Alex Stratta.

      The restaurant had only been open for business since November.

      The closing comes after less than three months when Tapas by Alex Stratta was shut down. Both closures mean that the chef, best known for his two Michelin-starred Alex at the Wynn is no longer is a tenant at Tivoli Village.

      Alex closed for business in 2011.

    • Kiss by Monster Mini Golf

      Kiss Mini Golf

      Kiss Mini Golf will close on Monday.

      The attraction, known for its glow-in the-dark theme, is expected to relocate to the Rio and reopen in April.

      The golf course will be housed in what was formerly the resort’s Village Seafood Buffet and will occupy 13,000 square feet of space.

      Kiss Mini Golf opened in March 2012 at 4503 Paradise Road, just off the Las Vegas Strip.
