In the years since the recession hit, Las Vegas has been known for its bargain room rates, but the city still remains home to some of the priciest, over-the-top hotel suites in the world.
Las Vegas luxury suites include everything from bowling alleys to butlers to hot tubs overlooking the Strip. If you can dream, a Las Vegas hotel probably has it, but not without a price.
Here’s a look at some of the most extravagant suites on and off the Strip:

Octavius Villas at Caesars Palace
With nearly 10,000 square feet of space, the villas are some of the most opulent and largest suites on Strip. The suites are each designed in a different theme — French, Spanish and Grecian. Caesars spent about $15 million on each villa — a total of $45 million — to accomplish the look of a well-kept home in each villa.
At 9,930 square feet, the Greek-style villa, which Caesars Palace dubs “Constantine,” is the largest of the three. The suite includes four bedrooms, a media room, a formal dinning room, a gym and private balcony with a private Jacuzzi overlooking Caesars’ pools.
From the private elevator to the 24-hour butler service, everything about the Octavius villas feels exclusive, including the price tag. The cost for a night is $40,000.

Duplex Apartment at Encore
One of Encore’s luxury Duplex Apartments is on the 63rd floor, next to the Sky Casino where high rollers need a minimum credit line of $300,000 to gamble.
The Duplex Apartments are more than 5,800 square feet and feature three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a billiard room, massage room and private elevator to go between the two floors of the suite. One night will run you about $6,000 during the week and $8,000 on the weekends.

Hardwood Suite at Palms
The suite is a basketball fan’s dream. The 10,000-square-foot suite features a basketball half-court, complete with a scoreboard, locker room and the Palms will even provide the cheerleaders — all for $25,000 a night.
In addition to the two master bedrooms, the Hardwood Suite has three beds that fold out from the wall right onto the court. Other amenities include a pool table, Jacuzzi, a lounge, full bar and plenty of flat screen TVs.
The suite can be rented for a night with a few friends — or a party of up to 325.

Sky Villas at Aria
The villas are some of the largest suites among MGM Resorts International’s Las Vegas properties. Measuring in at 6,490 square feet and located on the top floors of Aria at CityCenter, the largest Sky Villa will run you about $7,500 a night.
The two-story suites have three bedrooms, five bathrooms, a fitness room, a massage room, salon, a billiard room and formal dining room that seats up to 12 people. Other perks include gas fireplaces, 65-inch plasma TVs, a fully stocked bar and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley.
A private valet is included in your stay at the Sky Villas, but who needs it when the suite comes with unlimited limo service?

The "Real World" suite at Hard Rock
For about $3,500 a night, guests who want the “Real World” experience can party like reality stars in the Hard Rock suite where the show was taped. The 4,400-square-foot suite includes three bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room, full-service kitchen and views of Hard Rock’s Rehab pool party.
Other amenities such as a full bar, bowling alley and pool table finish off the party vibe of the suite. Those and the six-person hot tub in the middle of suite.

Hugh Hefner Villa at Palms
The villa might be the most opulent of the hotel’s Fantasy Suites. The Palms calls it their “version of the Playboy Mansion.” The two story, 9,000-square-foot suite includes a private elevator, media room, gym, dining room, private spa and three bedrooms — one of which features a very Playboy-esque 8-foot rotating bed. Plus, the Hugh Hefner is big enough to fit your closest 250 friends.
Perhaps the most unusual feature is the outdoor Jacuzzi that extends from the suite, offering views of the Strip.
The price to party like Hugh Hefner: $40,000 a night.

Chairman Suite at the Bellagio
The Chairman Suite doesn’t have the party vibe of the suites at the Palms or the Hard Rock but is geared for the top executive doing business in town. Aside from the amenities inside the 4,000-square-foot suite, the floor where it’s located also includes three 1,000-square-foot suites “for your personal staff,” the Bellagio website suggests.
Among its amenities: an indoor garden and fountain, two master bedrooms, his-and-her bathrooms, a home theater system, fireplaces and a full-service bar. Other perks include 24-hour butler service and VIP seating at Cirque du Soleil’s “O,” all for about $6,000 a night.

Skylofts at MGM Grand
The Skylofts are on the top two floors on the MGM Grand. The largest among the 51 suites is the 6,000-square-foot suite, which features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room, dining room and full bar.
The 4,800-square-foot version of the suite includes two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a library, full-service kitchen and workout room inside, but the most unusual amenities are outside. The suites feature an outdoor patio and plunge pool atop the MGM Grand rooftop.
Rates for the three-bedroom suite start at $6,000 a night, while the two-bedroom with the pool goes for $3,000.

Chairman Suite at the Venetian
The suite is a piece of the Southeast inside the Italian-style resort. From the moment you enter its foyer with its trickling fountain and mosaic tiles, you might feel you’ve entered an Asian palace.
On the 36th floor, the 10,000-square-foot suite features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, karaoke room, media room, 25 TVs, private workout room and massage parlor, just to name a few amenities. The suite also comes with endless perks, such as Rolls-Royce and Mayback transportation, 24-hour butler service and someone to pack and unpack your bags.
One night in the Chairman Suite runs about $15,000.

The Bungalows at Cosmopolitan
The Bungalows might be smaller than other hotels’ top luxury suites, but they are just as pricey. One 2,445-square-foot bungalow starts at $15,000 a night.
The three-story suites are off Marquee’s pool deck with direct access to the nightclub and dayclub, making it the perfect location for VIPs who want to stumble back to their rooms after a night (or day) of partying. The first level includes a kitchen and living room, the second is bedroom space and the top level features a patio and Jacuzzi.
