The casino industry’s Washington, D.C.-based trade group announced today it has added eight new members, including multiple companies from Las Vegas.
The American Gaming Association said three of the additions are board members and five are general members.
They represent a broad cross-section of the casino industry: the operator of the Stratosphere, a major tribal gaming company, a gaming products manufacturer and others.
Geoff Freeman, the association’s president, said in a statement that his group was growing its membership across every sector of the industry, an evolution he said positioned it to “effectively advocate for the most pressing issues we face.”
“Gaming’s big table — made up of tribal and commercial operators, casino suppliers, allied members — is uniting the industry and driving consensus on the most important industry issues,” Freeman said.
The board members announced today are AGS, a gaming products manufacturer and designer headquartered in Las Vegas; Cherokee Nation Entertainment, the Cherokee Nation’s gaming and hospitality company; and Delaware North, a hospitality and food service company headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y.
The new general members include Acres 4.0, a gaming technology company headquartered in Las Vegas; and American Casino & Entertainment Properties LLC, which operates the Stratosphere, the two Arizona Charlie’s casinos in the valley and the Aquarius in Laughlin.
The other general members are Michigan’s FireKeepers casino, sports data company Genius Sports and NYX Gaming Group Ltd., a digital gaming supplier headquartered in Las Vegas.
Membership in the association has grown by upwards of 50 percent in the last year, the group said. The association moved to bring tribal gaming operators into its ranks in late 2014.
