Henderson broke ground on a $16.8 million project that includes widening Volunteer Boulevard to four lanes from Executive Airport Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard including adding bike lanes. The project will include drainage improvements that will help prevent flooding and standing water in the area and resurfacing Executive Airport Drive to St. Rose Parkway. The project, with $6.9 million in FRI funding, will create about 91 jobs.
