      Dan Doherty, a senior vice president in the industrial division of Colliers International, received all three top awards given annually by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors’ Las Vegas chapter. He was named top producer of the year, was cited for having the most cooperative transactions and won the organization’s People’s Choice Award. The awards were announced at an SIOR event Dec. 1.

    • Jenna Lawrence is in the brokerage department of the Equity Group, where she focuses on office and retail leasing.

    • Ken Henderson is president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He is the chief executive officer of BEST Agency.

      Andrew J. Economon is general manager of House of Blues, Las Vegas. He oversees business operations for the entertainment, dining and nightclub venue, including the Music Hall, Foundation Room and newly rebranded Crossroads at House of Blues Restaurant. He previously was director of food and beverage for the Mirage.

    • Bill Oliver is director of facilities and information technology, Christina Nishiyama is director of human resources and finance and Mike Dagenais is director of guest relations for the Mob Museum.

      Joel Wallis is vice president of operations, Glen Maxwell is vice president of preconstruction and Chris Pierce is assistant project manager for PENTA Building Group. All were promoted internally. Wallis is responsible for management of the company’s construction projects, Maxwell for the direction and oversight of the company’s preconstruction and estimating department and the acquisition of new work, and Pierce assumes a larger role in company projects.

    • Star Nursery, Ahern Rentals and Rhino’s Turf Equipment have embarked on a trial partnership at Star’s location at 8725 S. Eastern Ave. The deal enables contractors and consumers to obtain tools and equipment at a single location.

    • Ed Evans is an adjunct instructor in the audio production program at the International Academy of Design and Technology Las Vegas.

      Robert Kayian was named a member of the Clinton Foundation’s Host Committee for Young Entrepreneurs by former President Bill Clinton. Kayian is the founder of PRspace.com.

    • Jennifer Stephen received the 2011 President’s Club Award at the Work Connection, where she is a staffing professional.

    • Sig Rogich, Jonathan Halkyard, Rose McKinney-James, Diana Bennett, Marilyn Burrows and Cedric Crear are new members of the expanded board of directors for the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Rogich is president of the Rogich Communications Group, Halkyard is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Caesars Entertainment, McKinney-James is managing principal of McKinney-James & Associates, Bennett is CEO of Paragon Gaming, Burrows is senior vice president and general manager of Cox Communications, and Crear is owner and operator of Crear Creative Group.

Stephen Peek, who practices in commercial litigation, Patrick Reilly, who practices in commercial litigation in real estate, and Melissa Orien, who practices in construction litigation.

    • Six attorneys from the law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck have been recognized by the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Pro Bono Project. Emily Phan and Josh Reid each donated 100 hours or more of their time in 2011, and Eric Aldrian, Dennis Gutwald, Christopher Kircher and Andrew Moore each contributed 50 hours or more of voluntary legal work.
