    • Susan Schrock of Professional Community Management of California has completed requirements to become a licensed provisional community manager and has qualified for a license from Nevada’s Real Estate Division. Schrock previously was an administrative assistant for Pulte Group’s Del Webb Community Management Division.

      E. Jerry Hayes is chief credit officer and executive vice president of Bank of George. He was a credit administration/lending consultant for the bank since joining it in August. He will work with executive management in developing and managing the bank’s loan portfolio.

    • Daisy Kostanyan is store manager of Sumita Beauty at Fashion Show Mall. A professional makeup artist, Kostanyan has more than 10 years’ experience in the cosmetology business and three years with Ziba Beauty, Sumita Beauty’s Los Angeles headquarters.

      Darren Doalson is vice president of sales for wine and spirits, and Eric Anderson is director of trade development for Wirtz Beverage Nevada. Doalson, who previously held leadership positions at Diageo, will oversee all aspects of sales execution for Wirtz Beverage Nevada’s wine and spirits division. Anderson, who has more than 26 years’ industry experience, will lead the company’s route-to-market strategy. He most recently was director of sales for the company’s Reno division.

      Radiation oncologist Michael J. Anderson has joined the staff of Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada. He previously was a private practitioner in Las Vegas and associate director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Elmhurst (N.Y.) Hospital Center.

      Linda Bullen

      Linda M. Bullen, a shareholder with Lionel Sawyer and Collins, is 2012 president of the Clark County Bar Association. Bullen is a litigator specializing in environmental law and renewable energy issues.

    • MountainView Hospital has announced plans to build a 60,000-square-foot patient tower. The project will be in addition to its emergency services expansion, which is under way. The total cost of the two projects is expected to be more than $60 million. The tower will be built concurrently with the ER/ICU addition and projected for completion by the end of the year.

    • Paul Janda and Gene Tran are the first two graduates of the neurology residency at Valley Hospital, a program that was established in February 2009.

    • Alan M. Feldman, senior vice president of public affairs for MGM Resorts International, is chairman of the board of directors of the National Center for Responsible Gaming. Feldman replaces Glenn C. Christenson, managing director of Velstand Investments, who was board chairman for three years and will remain on the board. Mark Vander Linden, executive officer of the Office of Gambling Treatment and Prevention at the Iowa Department of Public Health, was elected to the board as a new member. Other NCRG board members are President William S. Boyd, executive chairman of Boyd Gaming; Treasurer and Secretary Judy L. Patterson, senior vice president and executive director of the American Gaming Association; Sue Cox, founding executive director of the Texas Council on Problem and Compulsive Gambling; Kevin Mullally, general counsel and director of government affairs at Gaming Laboratories International; Phil Satre, chairman of International Game Technology; Jennifer Shatley, vice president of responsible gaming policies and compliance for Caesars Entertainment; and Bruce Shear, president and CEO of Pioneer Behavioral Health. The board also announced it has allocated more than $1.5 million for grants in 2012 to support research on prevention and treatment of gambling disorders, the largest amount allotted for research grants in the organization’s history.

The committee also assists the LVCVA with destination marketing efforts. In the new role, Fearon will provide support for Chairman Oscar Goodman, former mayor of Las Vegas.

Simmons previously was the president of Sage Community Group’s Nevada division.

    • Jina Hustler is the art director of Carvalho Creative. She previously had been an art director for Macy’s and a number of niche publications.

    • Nevada State College has received an $11,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation to fund the conversion of its Math Boot Camp skills challenge into a Web-based, interactive, real-time program. The new funding enhances student engagement by introducing a Web-based application that presents math problems in a game format that continuously updates the top 20 scores in each category.

      Lars Evensen is a partner in the Las Vegas office of the law firm Holland & Hart, practicing in construction and design representation, bankruptcy and litigation.

    • Lutheran Social Services of Nevada has moved into new headquarters on Spectrum Boulevard, dramatically increasing its space and the size of its food pantry and giving the organization the capacity to serve an additional 7,000 clients. The headquarters is about 12,000 square feet and includes a community resource center where clients can receive career and financial assistance. An open house and dedication were scheduled for last week.

    • Wells Fargo announced the addition of Tony Timmons to its Nevada regional banking communications team. Timmons is responsible for media relations and strategic internal and external communications in Nevada. Timmons previously was the manager of Las Vegas market development for CenturyLink.
