      The law firm of Hutchison & Steffen recently announced that Patricia Lee has joined the Legal Aid of Southern Nevada’s first Pro Bono Advisory Council. The Advisory Council aims to expand pro bono participation among lawyers in Southern Nevada and increase awareness of the Pro Bono Project in the legal community and beyond.

    • Allstate Exclusive Agency owner Brian Banks is celebrating 25 years in the Las Vegas community. He is being recognized with Allstate’s Agency Affiliation award for reaching the milestone as an exclusive Allstate Insurance agency owner. Banks provides auto, home, life and commercial insurance, as well as financial products, to Las Vegas residents.

      City National Bank hired Benjamin Kadletz as a relationship manager for its Green Valley branch. Kadletz joins the company with 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining City National, Kadletz worked for First American Equipment Finance in Las Vegas as a commercial account officer. Kadletz will be responsible for developing and managing new and existing client relationships.

    • Silver State Schools Credit Union has appointed Nicole Rourke, executive director of government affairs for the Clark County School District, to the credit union’s board of directors, bringing the board’s size to seven members. Rourke has been employed with the School District for 14 years. She works with local municipalities on the Open Schools Open Doors agreement and school construction issues, as well as with the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition Committee on Youth.

    • The ACT, created by New York City nightlife and theater impresario Simon Hammerstein, is slated to open in Las Vegas inside The Shoppes at the Palazzo in October. It will feature nightly shows with theatrical performances and audience participation. It will also feature private balcony boxes, banquettes on the dance floor and a backstage seating area that will allow guests to mingle with the talent.

      Quincy Branch has been named the CEO for Branch Benefits Consultants. He brings 12 years experience to the newly formed benefits company with a background in property, casualty, life and health. He is a 2000 graduate of UNLV, with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

    • Colliers International – Las Vegas has announced the hiring of Renae Russo as an executive assistant. Russo will be responsible for providing administrative support, including analytical and planning support to the office, specifically supporting managing partner Mike Mixer. Colliers also announced the hiring of Tressa Wilson as its receptionist.

      The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners has awarded Jeff Albach, of Stewart, Archibald & Barney LLP the globally preferred Certified Fraud Examiner credential. Albach successfully met the ACFE’s character, experience and education requirements for the CFE credential and has demonstrated knowledge in four areas critical to the fight against fraud: Fraudulent Financial Transactions, Fraud Prevention and Deterrence, Legal Elements of Fraud, and Fraud Investigation. Albach joined Stewart, Archibald & Barney LLP in April 2006.

      The PENTA Building Group has announced the addition of Ronn Lansky as business development director. He will be instrumental in developing and implementing PENTA’s business development strategies and will serve on the Strategic Leadership Committee. Lansky brings 20 years of experience to PENTA. PENTA also announced two promotions. Team members Jeff Walker and Mike Ailor have been promoted to assistant project managers. Walker joined PENTA in 2007 as a project engineer on the Hilton Grand Vacations Club parking garage project. Ailor joined the company in 2007 as an intern on the Aliante Station Casino project and was hired as a project engineer after he graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2008.
