LAS VEGAS (March 21, 2013)—the Nevada Health Care Forum organizers today announced the event will return in 2013. The largest gathering of Nevada’s health care professionals in the state, the forum will be returning for the sixth time, once again featuring health care industry experts in Nevada and across the nation.
“I am thrilled to announce the return the Nevada Health Care Forum,” said Todd Lefkowitz, event organizer and senior vice president of managed care operations and network development at HealthCare Partners of Nevada. “With major components of health care reform on track to being implemented in 2013 and the seemingly dogmatic challenges to health care quality quietly persisting across the state, there has never been a more important time to have this event. Whether you are a health care industry insider or a Nevadan interested in health care, this year’s forum will be a must-attend event.”
The 6th Annual Nevada Health Care Forum will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Tuscany Suites & Casino located at 255 E. Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, NV. It will begin at 8:00am and run until 5:00pm with a cocktail reception to follow.
The Annual Nevada Health Care Forum brings together most of Nevada’s healthcare leaders covering a broad section of the industry, including providers and provider executives (physicians, nurses, allied health providers); hospital, post-acute care facility and ancillary care provider executives, academia, employer group and health plan/insurance executives, government officials, students, media and consumers of healthcare. Past speakers include governors, U.S. Senators and Representatives, CEOs of large hospitals, medical groups and other health care companies, professional healthcare industry executives, policy leaders and more.
Last year, more than 325 individuals attended the Nevada Health Care Forum, the largest of its kind in Nevada. The event was an overwhelming success with eighteen nationally and locally recognized dynamic presenters addressing legislative changes impacting our healthcare system, and issues and opportunities for improving our national, regional and local healthcare systems.
This year, the forum will again examine timely issues such as healthcare reform, health care quality, Medicare and Medicaid, health care information technology, health information exchanges, health insurance exchanges, wellness and disease management, and more.
The Forum's Host and Affiliate Organizations include the Nevada Chapters of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Health Information and Management Systems Society, and Medical Group Management Association, and Clark County Medical Society, Nevada Executive Women in Health Care, Nevada Health Information Management Association, Nevada Nurses Association, Nevada Organization of Nurse Leaders, Nevada State Board of Nursing and Southern Nevada Medical Industry Coalition.
The public is invited to attend. Registration is now open. For registration information and prices, visit www.nevadahealthcareforum.com.
