VEGAS CARES: E BUNNY Rallies Community To Donate Easter Baskets

E BUNNY would like to make 2012 the best Easter ever for thousands of local children in need.

For 22 years, E BUNNY has reached out to homeless and underprivileged kids, providing Easter baskets as a symbol of love, joy and hope, at a time when things are especially bleak in their lives.
At a moment when our entire community is upside-down, our grass-roots group is again rising to the occasion; giving from the heart and taking care of those whose lives have even less.

We invite Las Vegans — individuals, institutions, groups and businesses — to be part of this annual outreach, to collect Easter baskets and support the youngest among us who need something to
signal a more hopeful future.

This isn't about money, but baskets. Thanks to the generosity and spirit of countless Las Vegans, E BUNNY 2011 delivered more than 2500 Easter surprises to smiling kids across the Las Vegas Valley.

From struggling neighborhoods, to temporary housing, shelters, social services and hospitals, E BUNNY was there where it counts. Without your help, we can't make that happen.

There are thousands of homeless and underprivileged children and teens in Vegas. We hope to reach out to as many as possible this year, through:

> Las Vegas City Mission
> Las Vegas Rescue Mission
> Straight from the Streets
> Sunrise Children's Hospital
> Nevada Social Services
> Trinity Foster Services
> Sunset Oaks
> Safe House

In addition to the organizations and agencies listed here, EBUNNY volunteers directly distribute baskets to children in the poorest areas of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson.

To make that happen, we are seeking donations of pre-packaged baskets, available from any grocery, drugstore, or general department store. Though we appreciate the generous offers, EBunny does not accept monetary contributions; only baskets we can pass directly to children.

Join the "One Special Basket for One Special Child" program by donating a basket no later than April 2nd. Pick a basket you think a child would love, and inspire friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers to donate, too.

You can also help by organizing a basket drive at your church, school or office. Get the word out among friends, neighbors and co-workers. And, encourage your community to hold basket drives, as well; helping those less well off is a wonderful way to get in the spirit of giving.

For more details how you can help put smiles on young faces all across the Las Vegas Valley this Easter, visit EBunny online at http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/ebunny or contact Barbara Kenig, EBunny, at 702.498.9808 and [email protected]

Be part of a community that cares for kids in need!
