Colliers International – Las Vegas Raises More than $60,000 for Local Children’s Charities at Annual Golf Tournament
Links for Life event exceeds 2012 fundraising total by more than $5,000
LAS VEGAS (June 10, 2013) – Mike Mixer, managing partner of Colliers International – Las Vegas, announced today that the company’s 18th annual Links for Life Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $60,000 for various children’s charities in Southern Nevada, over $5,000 more than in 2012.
Held on May 16 at the Las Vegas Country Club, the event had an ‘Awesome 80s’ theme. More than 120 individuals took to the course, in costume, for a fun-filled day of golf and camaraderie. The round was followed by an outdoor gourmet BBQ lunch, player gifts, raffles and a live auction.
“Links for Life gives our Colliers team the ability to support many great children’s charities throughout Southern Nevada,” said Mixer. “Every year we’re able to impact the lives of so many children thanks to the tournament’s sponsors and participants, and we’re thrilled that the tournament has become one of the valley’s most anticipated annual charity events.”
Several local companies supported this event. Special thanks from Colliers goes to the following companies for their generous contributions:

• First American Title Company
Since its inception in 1995, Links for Life has contributed more than $2.1 million to local children’s charities. Year to date the Links for Life Foundation, the nonprofit giving project of Colliers International, has contributed $12,500 to Southern Nevada children’s charities, including Create a Change Now, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Sport Social, Boys Town Nevada, Nevada Children’s Center and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada.
In addition to the annual golf tournament, Links for Life has added a variety of events since 2010. Up next, the foundation will be hosting an event at the Hard Rock Hotel’s ‘Pay it Forward Friday.’ This event will be held on June 14. All cabana sales on that day will go to benefit the Discovery Children’s Museum.
