Gary Johnson to hold Fundraiser April 9 in Las Vegas

Governor Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate,
to Speak at Grape Street Café, Monday, April 9

The Libertarian Party of Nevada will be hosting a fundraising dinner for Gary Johnson, former two-term Governor of New Mexico and Libertarian Party candidate for President on Monday, April 9, at the Grape Street Café from 7 to 9 pm.
Gary Johnson has been an outspoken advocate for efficient government, balanced budgets, rational drug policy reform, protecting civil liberties, comprehensive tax reform, and personal freedom. As Governor of New Mexico, Johnson was known for his common sense business approach to governing. He eliminated New Mexico's budget deficit, cut the rate of growth in state government in half, and privatized half of the state prisons.

A successful businessman before running for Governor in 1994, Gary Johnson started a door-to-door handyman business to help pay his way through college. Twenty years later, he had grown the firm into one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico with over 1,000 employees. Governor Johnson brings a distinctly business-like mentality to governing, believing that decisions should be made based on cost-benefit analysis rather than strict ideology. He offers practical solutions to the economic crisis facing our nation today.

Governor Johnson is visiting Las Vegas as part of his campaign for the Libertarian Party nomination for President. The National Convention for the Libertarian Party will be held here in Las Vegas at the Red Rock Resort from May 2-6. Anyone interested in meeting Governor Johnson and learning more about his campaign is invited to attend this special event.
