(Las Vegas) – Today, the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance announced the appointment of Karey Juencke to the position of Economic Development Coordinator.
As economic development coordinator, Juencke serves as a liaison to public, private and non-profit organizations for business attraction, creation, expansion and retention activities. She also provides project management and analytical support by conducting research and development for activities and operations involving economic development, redevelopment, land development and business development.
“Karey’s experience in the travel and tourism industry has been invaluable to us as we respond to the increased global interest in Southern Nevada,” said Tom Skancke, president and chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “With her skills added, the economic development team at the LVGEA has the support and expertise they need to help make Las Vegas a global business destination. Over the last eight months, the LVGEA has nearly doubled the size of its team and gone from 3,500 to 11,600 square feet in office space. Just like Las Vegas, our organization is growing and aiming for sustained success.”
Prior to accepting her position at the LVGEA, Juencke served as catering conference service manager for the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and as a social sales manager at Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa.
