Free Job Fair for Licensed Massage Therapists Wednesday

Local Massage School hosts Free Job Fair for Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT) on Wednesday April 25th.

The general massage community is cordially invited into the campus of European Massage Therapy School (EMTS) located at 9440 W. Sahara Suite 250, inside Village Square at 3pm Wednesday April 25th, where a lucrative career in massage therapy awaits.

Bureau of Labor Statistics on employment change… Employment of massage therapists is expected to increase by 19 percent from 2008 to 2018, faster than the average for all occupations. Employment will grow as more people learn about the benefits of massage therapy. The number of spas, which employ a large number of therapists, has increased in recent years and will continue to do so. At the same time, there are an increasing number of massage clinic franchises making them available to a wider range of customers. More and more doctors are prescribing massage for chronic problems as the medical community recognizes the medical or therapeutic benefits of massage.

Job prospects are strong in Las Vegas. Nevada State Board of Massage Therapists regulates massage therapy profession, job opportunities should be available to those who complete formal training programs and pass a professionally and nationally recognized licensure examination.
Las Vegas ranks high among metropolitan area with the highest employment level and highest concentration of jobs in this occupation. In fact, Nevada ranks number 1 in states with the highest concentration of jobs in this occupation: Accounts for more than half (2.47 times) the share of employment compared to national shares.

There will also be an increase in utilization of massage therapists in complementary industries: Offices of physicians and chiropractors, hospitals, physical therapy and rehabilitation centers, fitness and recreational sports centers, shopping centers, pet salons, casinos, and even business offices.
