LAS VEGAS – April 27, 2012 –To celebrate “the Fastest Two Minutes in Sports,” the D Las Vegas will hold a weeklong series of Kentucky Derby promotions beginning Sunday, April 29th and culminating in a day of major winning and celebrations Saturday, May 5.
• $10,000 Pick the Winner Giveaway April 29 – May 5:
When the winning horse is draped in roses on the afternoon of May 5, the D will split $10,000 between bettors who wagered on the winning steed. Winnings are payable in free play or tax-free play-till-you-lose promo chips. Casino guests can win unlimited betting tickets at slots and tables all week and bet on as many horses as they please. Tickets will be awarded for:
• Every $500 points earned in slots
• Every $300 buy-in on tables
• Every natural blackjack on $25 bets
• Every winning $100 field bet on dice
• Every $100 wagered in Keno
• Churchill Downs Comes Downtown Saturday, May 5:
On the day of the Kentucky Derby, the D will recreate the atmosphere at Churchill Downs in downtown Las Vegas. Guests can wager from an extensive menu of Derby prop. bets including a $5,000 Quinella jackpot at Lucky’s Sports Book and watch the race on flat-screen televisions throughout the property.
the D invites bettors and bystanders alike to sip mint juleps, the official drink of the Derby, at LONGBAR for only $6. For all $20 wagers, bettors will collect an official souvenir glass. From the time the shot gun goes off till the first muzzle crosses the finish line, the D is the place to catch all the Kentucky Derby action.
