Desert Call Connection Honors Military Personnel This Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, Desert Call Connection (DCC), a leading customer service solutions company with offices in Las Vegas and San Diego, is sending care packages and “love” notes to the squadron of one of their recently deployed employees, Raynell Ridgeway. Raynell was deployed on January 18 and is stationed in Afghanistan for 400 days.
“We have always been supportive of hiring veterans and if they get deployed while working with us, they are still and always will be a part of the DCC family,” said Gabriel Bristol, president and CEO of DCC. “This Valentine’s Day, we want to extend our gratitude for their service to Raynell’s whole squadron.”
Bristol and DCC continuously work to decrease the number of unemployed veterans in Las Vegas through ensuring veteran employment and guaranteeing their job security upon return from deployment. These veterans often experience obstacles that would otherwise keep them from re-entering the workforce—difficulties translating military experience to civilian work, lack of interview and resume-writing experience, disabilities and health issues.
“Valentine’s Day is a day meant for celebrating loved ones,” said Bristol. “We hope these care packages and notes of appreciation help take their minds off of their incredibly demanding responsibilities, even if for a second, knowing that they are being thought of back home.”
At the core of DCC’s corporate culture is its desire to reach into the community and make a positive impact by supporting important causes that support veterans and active military, issues that have directly affected Bristol and many of DCC’s employees.
