Garrett Byrd Announces Departure from PWI Construction to Manage Project Abroad

Las Vegas, NV (January 28, 2014) - PWI Construction‘s Vice President of Construction Services, Garrett Byrd, has announced his departure from his position to pursue an opportunity with MGM Resorts International in Macau. Mr. Byrd will be heading up the MGM Cotai project as a Project Executive, it is set to complete in 2016.
“I love Las Vegas, I‘ve called it my home for 18 years. PWI has been a family to me and I’m proud of the strides we’ve made in this market. They have great momentum for considerable growth both here and nationally” said Byrd.
Mr. Byrd joined the PWI team to build the Resort and Gaming division of Business Development for the Nevada and California markets. He ran several successful projects for Las Vegas Sands, Venetian Las Vegas and Boyd Gaming. Prior to his time with PWI, he managed construction and delivery for both the Louvre and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum(s) as part of the Saadiyat Island Cultural District Program in the United Arab Emirates.
