The Soggy Dog welcomes its 50,000th dog to receive a do-it-yourself dog wash.
Henderson, Nev. (May 17, 2014) - Located at Horizon Ridge and Stephanie in Henderson, The Soggy Dog has clearly been well received as a new business concept since it's opening in 2005.
National Small Business Week recognizes small business owners in America and the impact they make in their communities. Small business owners face many challenges.
Bringing a new business concept to the market and, having success is no easy feat.
The Soggy Dog opened in 2005 as an innovative, self-serve dog wash. The store features five waist-high tubs that are easy on the back and designed to accommodate the smallest to largest breeds of dogs. A variety of specially formulated shampoos and conditioners are offered in addition to the store's fabulous Blueberry Facial by South Bark. Well-researched lines of dog and cat food, primarily focused on natural, organic and holistic foods or treats are available as well.
Over time, the business has successfully marketed the concept and provided a solution to the challenges faced by pet owners that have inadequate facilities or equipment at home to effectively wash their pets. Lack of temperature control, pet hair in bathtub drains and tubs that are not pet friendly are just a few of the challenges faced bathing a sizable dog at home. And after trying the facility out, people come to realize that it’s fun!
Fifty thousand dog washes certainly validates the need and desire for this type of service in the community and demonstrates small business success here in Southern Nevada.
