What is your hobby/sport?
I enjoy lifting weights and working out on machines. Three to four years ago I started participating in classes: spin class, barbell class, yoga and Pilates. I enjoy doing the cyclone spin class the most. It has great music; it’s a full body workout on a bike and includes arm weights.
What are the health benefits to your workouts?
Don't slow down now

- Dr. Trina Wiggins: ‘My patients are my inspiration to keep on going’

Working out on a regular basis, whether it’s a class or going to the gym on your own, as well as maintaining a healthy diet is important for living a long life.
What gear is essential?
Working out requires you to wear comfortable clothing. If you go to a gym, they have all the equipment you need for a complete work out. Spin classes usually have the bikes and weights needed for their workouts, but you can purchase special cycling shoes if you are an avid cycler.
What tips do you have when you’ve “hit the wall” and need motivation to continue?
When I hit a wall, I switch gyms to keep me motivated and interested!
Does your hobby/sport require attention to what you eat?
I don’t believe in protein powder with whatever steroids/hormones mixed with it. For protein, I eat chicken, fish and meat!
What’s the best diet/nutrition advice you ever received?
That you can eat everything — in moderation!
