Las Vegas-based TV network to offer free advertising to small businesses

ACTV, an independent television network based in Las Vegas, is offering free advertising for area small businesses for two months.

Carl Magno, the network’s CEO, said small businesses based in the Las Vegas Valley will have the opportunity to have commercials or infomercials aired at no charge for 60 days beginning May 1.

Magno said the network is attempting to do its part to help local businesses affected by the economic slowdown caused by the global coronavirus pandemic.

“We love this community and this community is hurting right now,” Magno said. “We’re hurting, too. We’ve lost revenue, too. Maybe if we can help some businesses now, they might be able to help us down the road when they bounce back. This is our way of helping out.”

Launched in 2017 and formerly known as “Asian Culture TV,” the network produces Asian-themed programming — its flagship show is “Asian News” — in English and Mandarin, primarily focused on Asian American audiences.

The network is available via over-the-air television, along with various streaming options, including YouTube, Facebook and Amazon Fire TV. Magno said the network has the capacity to reach more than 5 million viewers in the Southern Nevada and Southern California markets.

To be considered for the offer, interested businesses need to email a link to their advertising materials, which must be no longer than 30 seconds, Magno said.

The email address is [email protected]. For more information, interested parties can also call 702-979-1388.
