Vikrant Bodalia

The Top Tech Awards is an annual event that celebrates innovation and excellence in Southern Nevada’s technology sector. Vikrant Bodalia, vice president of technology operations at Allegiant Stadium, won the 2024 Top Tech Award in Hospitality for his ability to seamlessly integrate emerging technologies and security measures, ensuring uninterrupted operations during high-profile events and helping the venue deliver a quality fan experience. In an interview with VEGAS INC, Bodalia reflects on his win and the future of technology.

What is it like to win a Top Tech Award?

Winning this award validated hard work not just for myself but for my entire team and organization. It motivates us to aim higher and push boundaries in technology.

Why is it important to have a technology recognition awards program in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is associated with hospitality and tourism, but recognizing the technology professionals who work relentlessly in the background helps highlight the city’s growing technological scene. Award programs bring together technology leaders and fosters collaboration, networking and mentorship.

How will technology evolve in the next five years?

AI will become deeply embedded in business operations, personal assistants and decision-making tools. Just like AI was in its early stages five to seven years ago, quantum computing is in its early stages today. More companies will invest in quantum research, making it a critical frontier in tech. As AI and cyber threats rise, Zero Trust security models will become standard, making cybersecurity and digital trust critical as organizations push for stronger AI regulations and privacy protections.

What advice would you give aspiring innovators looking to make an impact on the tech industry?

Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment. Start now with whatever resources you have. The best way to learn is by doing, iterating and improving over time. Focus on problems that matter, because the best innovations come from addressing real-world challenges.

What are the biggest technological challenges you face in your role and how do you overcome them?

For the sports and entertainment industry, the No. 1 challenge is delivering a seamless fan experience while keeping up with evolving fan expectations. Other big challenges are integration of emerging technologies without disrupting legacy systems and cybersecurity, data privacy and compliance.

Who is your technology superhero?

My superhero is not from the technology field. When I think of superheroes, I think of two unique individuals: Marc-André Leclerc and Gary Cantrell.

If you know or work with a similar leader in technology who contributes to the success of industries such as cybersecurity, education, gaming, health care, nonprofits and more, nominate them for the 2025 Top Tech Awards today!
