Regulators, casinos unite against new gambling gray zone

Bill Miller, CEO of the American Gaming Association, says the AGA and its members are mobilizing to fight what he calls illegal and unregulated sports betting taking place on prediction markets — marketplaces for betting on real-world events in which collective opinion drives odds and payouts resemble wagers. “They’re threatening the communities we serve, the customers and consumers we protect and the standards we uphold,” Miller said last week in an address at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.
