Hot air balloons float over the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley during the Friends of Metro Search and Rescue Las Vegas Balloon Festival and carnival at the Southern Hills Hospital campus on West Sunset Road Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. Festival proceeds from the balloon rides will benefit the nonprofit organization that helps support members of the Las Vegas Police Department Metro Search and Rescue section, many of whom are volunteers.
